Lyn Gillett's qualifications and experience ensure that students are being taught by an ethical professional with many years of experience both as a performer, teacher, and vocal health specialist. Beginners improve confidence while learning new skills. Classically trained singers can be retrained to sing stylistically authentic contemporary styles. Beginners to professionals and singing teachers are among Lyn's students, and a sound foundation taught to ensure that no voice damage will result from singing incorrectly. Lyn assesses each prospective student and a vocal exercise plan is catered to the individual needs of each student. Lyn will work hand in hand with Speech Pathologist in rehabilitation of damaged voices. Preliminary diagnosis of vocal problems attributed to poor vocal technique and vocal abuse, can be made by Lyn Gillett and referral made to a Specialist Voice Clinic if necessary. Singer/songwriters may also learn to improve vocal skill while singing their original songs. Lyn Gillett specializes in teaching contemporary styles such as Pop, Soul, RnB, Jazz, Rock and Musical Theatre with emphasis on stylistic authenticity. (more).
