There was some vast racing and some appropriate PBS. Many thanks to coaches Sarah, Pat and Tom who attended to encourage the swimmers. Once again the session was once again a ambitious one with around 60 swimmers from Junior and State Development Squads plus a appropriate number from the Club's Learn to Swim Program participating. There were some good hard swims from the Surrey Park competitors. Many thanks to this Surrey Park parents who assisted by timekeeping at the meet. This year, Surrey Park swimmers made the Victorian Sprint Championships one of their targeted meets and came to the competition with no less than 46 swimmers ready to compete over the 2 day meet. It was a immense day of results from both the Club's Junior and Senior swimmers, with a total of 89 PBS for the day, and 14 swimmers qualifying for State Sprints. The face produced some extraordinary results for the Club with many swimmers qualifying for finals and a number collecting medals on the podium. The last session of the face was made up of age group relays. I would like to congratulate ALL the Surrey Park Coaching staff on a immense result from our Age group swimmers Retain up the appropriate work guys! Overall a good meet for the squad with swimmers generally getting the times they were looking for. With competitors from swim school correct up to the Open Tall Performance program, it was a great day for swimmers from across the club to get to know each other, and of course race together.
